my Story

I still work in marketing alongside photography, which I actually love. I’ve always been someone who needs to be making something. Whether that's taking photographs, creating content, designing something, working on a new idea or figuring out how to make something work a little better, I just love being creative.

In 2026, I was incredibly proud to be named Freelance Photographer of the Year – Dorset 2025/26 through the Prestige Business Awards. That still feels slightly surreal when I think back to taking those first photos on a borrowed camera.

But I think the biggest thing I’ve learnt getting here is that you don't necessarily need to know exactly where you're going.

Sometimes you just need to enjoy what you're doing, keep trying things and see where it takes you.

I’ve never really been someone who has had one straight path.

Before photography, I worked in all sorts of places - bars, pubs, supermarkets, customer service, festivals, cafés and marketing. I’ve done a bit of everything, met a ridiculous number of people and somehow, somewhere along the way, all of those experiences have led me here.

Photography started pretty simply. I was working in a café and taking photos for social media on a borrowed camera. I didn’t have a business plan, a fancy studio or a five-year plan. I just really enjoyed taking photos.

What started as something I was doing on the side slowly became something much bigger. I started photographing more people, then businesses, then events, then weddings - and before I knew it, I was building a photography business of my own.

about me

I love the little things in life.

A good coffee. Finding somewhere I've never been before. A spontaneous adventure. A really good song coming on at exactly the right time. A sunset. Meeting someone completely new and somehow ending up talking for an hour.

I love cars - my dream car is a BMW E30 - and I grew up around motorbikes and engines. I love dogs, although Lola, my lurcher, has a fairly significant place in my heart. 

Music has always been a big part of my life too. I played the flute growing up, listen to pretty much everything from rock to classical (although Pink Floyd will always have a special place in my playlist), and I’m currently attempting to learn the electric guitar.

I love exploring, travelling, meeting new people and experiencing things for the first time. I think those things probably influence the way I photograph too.

my philosophy

For a long time, I thought I needed to find a style.

I thought I needed a niche. A particular look. A box to fit myself into.

But the more I photographed, the more I realised that wasn't really me.

I love a bit of everything.

What connects all of my work isn't a particular editing style or a certain type of photograph. It's authenticity.

The real moments. The unspoken ones. The things that happen naturally when people aren't thinking about the camera.

I don't want to manufacture moments just to get the photograph. I want to be there when they happen.

My style is that I don't really have a style.

I just capture the moments whilst you live in them.

weddings

I love weddings for the people.

The intimacy. The nervous excitement. The compassion. The ridiculous laughter. The little looks between two people who don't need to say anything at all.

I love watching families and friends come together, seeing people experience one of the happiest days of their lives and capturing the moments

they'll want to remember long after the confetti has been swept away.

Of course, I'll take the beautiful portraits and the important family photographs. But I'll also be looking for the things happening around them - the hand squeezes, the tears, the laughter, the chaos and the little details that made the day yours.

businesses & brands

I love photographing businesses because there is always a person behind them.

Someone's hard work. Their ideas. Their passion. Their sleepless nights. Their weird little obsession that became a business.

Whether I'm photographing products, a team, a

workspace or the person behind the brand, I take pride in creating images that genuinely represent what they've built.

It's not just about making something look good. It's about doing their work justice and capturing the vision behind it.

events

Events are probably one of my favourite places to have a camera.

I love the energy of a room - people mingling, networking, laughing, catching up and having a genuinely good time.

I love watching childhood friends reunite, family members see each other for the first time in years, strangers start conversations and people completely forget that there's a camera nearby.

And I love meeting people from all corners of the world - especially the ones who stop to chat about what I'm photographing and somehow end up telling me about their own adventures.

That's the stuff I want to photograph.

Not just what happened, but how it felt to be there.

A photographer, a creative, a marketer, an introvert who somehow spends a lot of time talking to strangers, a dog mum, a terrible guitar player in progress and someone who still gets excited about finding somewhere new to explore.

I'm incredibly grateful that photography has given me the opportunity to meet so many brilliant people and be part of so many important moments.
