I'm a photographer, social media manager, and creative based in Sherborne, Dorset.
A little over a year ago, I was working in a cafe, taking photos for social media on a borrowed camera. I had no grand business plan, no fancy studio, and no idea where photography would take me. I just knew I loved capturing moments and telling stories through images.
Fast forward to today, and I've had the privilege of photographing weddings, events, businesses, products, portraits, and some truly unforgettable moments. In 2026, I was honoured to receive the title of Freelance Photographer of the Year – Ash Rhone Photography, Dorset through the Prestige Business Awards, something I never imagined when I first picked up that camera.
Before photography, my background was in hospitality. I spent years working in local pubs, bars, restaurants, and cafés, meeting people from all walks of life. Looking back, those experiences taught me some of the most valuable skills I use every day - how to connect with people, make them feel comfortable, and create genuine experiences.
If I'm being honest, I'd consider myself an introvert. But put me behind a camera, introduce me to new people, and something changes. I love hearing people's stories, celebrating their milestones, and capturing moments they'll look back on for years to come. Whether I'm photographing a wedding, a business owner launching their dream venture, or a family celebrating a special occasion, I approach every shoot with the same goal: making people feel relaxed, comfortable, and completely themselves.

My photography style is natural, authentic, and storytelling-focused. I don't believe the best moments are always posed. The laughter between friends, the proud glance across a wedding aisle, the excitement of launching a new business, the quiet moments in between - those are the memories worth preserving.
Alongside photography, I work professionally in marketing, managing social media, creating content, designing graphics, and building websites. This broader creative background helps me understand not only how to create beautiful images, but also how those images can tell a story, build a brand, and connect with people.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me exploring somewhere new, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, or out on an adventure with my dog.
